Battle on the Bank XV FAQs

FAQs

How do I find the tournament?

We will be in the Gary D. Weikel events center at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, which is building 604 on the map. This is one building over from the Pavillion (Building 600), where we hold our regular bouts.

Parking is in the yellow lot, which will be followed by a short walk. To enter the yellow lot, turn onto Cascade View Dr. Northeast from Hwy 2 by the Monroe Co-Op. ADA parking and the building entrance is on the Northwest side of the building

What kinds of tickets are available?  If I want to go to the expo bout, do I have to buy a full day ticket?

We have three types of tickets:

  • A weekend pass, good for all the action all weekend long.
  • Single day passes that are good for one day only (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
  • Expo tickets, which grant access to a single bout on Saturday night. This ticket allows you to come to the expo match without paying for the whole Saturday day pass.

How does the tournament work?

The tournament will be round-robin.  Each team will play a half-length bout (two 15-minute quarters) against every other team. The two teams with two highest win counts will advance to the finals. The two teams with the third/fourth highest total wins will go to the consolation final.  In the case of a tie, the team that scored more total points will advance over the lower scoring team.  Sunday will feature two full-length bouts: the consolation final for 3rd place, and the championship match.

Can I stay all day? What kind of food and drink will there be?

You bet!  We will have all sorts of things to keep you fueled up all day long.

Our weekend food trucks will include: Johnny Slaw (Friday-Sunday), Taste of Samoa (Saturday Only) and Sages Coffee Co. (Friday and Saturday 8-5).

Inside you’ll find our concession stand with all sorts of snacks and drinks, plus a beer garden stocked with great local beer and cider. The beer garden will be open daily beginning between 11 and noon with last call about 1 hour before the end of the last bout.

In between bouts, check out our vendor village with a variety of local shops, makers, and artists–including on-site vinyl printing for customized shirts at Little Dumpling Arts, and a curated selection of skate gear from local legend Get Your Bearings skate shop.
